Mock Wedding 2008
In July 2008 all the children in years 3 and 4 took part in a mock wedding at St. Mary's Church. Reverend Lyndon Taylor was kind enough to come to school to explain about the wedding ceremony. We prepared wedding invitations, made wedding programmes. We also decided who would be the bride and groom,best-man, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, guests and so on. On the day of the wedding everyone dressed in their best outfits, including the staff. Year 5 and 6 pupils came to the church to watch the ceremony. Lots of photographs were taken (see below). After the ceremony we returned to school for a wedding breakfast and speeches.
