Medication may be administered at school at the request of the parent but only prescribed medicines will be given, except where special circumstances dictate otherwise. Parents will be asked to fill in a consent form. All medication should be clearly labelled and handed to the class teacher or Head teacher by the parent in the container in which it was prescribed. Pupils who have asthma are expected to have their inhalers to hand (younger pupils may prefer to give them to the teacher). Only blue asthma inhalers (relievers) should be used in school.
