The School Curriculum Clydach Junior School offers a broad and balanced education suited to children’s age, aptitude and ability. This ensures that pupils develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, morally and socially and are prepared for the world of work and leisure.
The work offered to the children will be in accordance with the requirements of the National Curriculum and will also reflect the County’s curriculum policies.
The core subjects are English, Mathematics and Science. The foundation subjects are History, Geography, Information Technology, Design and Technology, Art, Physical Education and Music. Welsh is taught as a second language and Religious Education is also a statutory requirement. As many areas of the curriculum as possible are integrated through a thematic approach. |
